In the original part of the Valencia Town
Centre, shown in this photo, you will find several blocks of
shopping and dining, as well as
office buildings in a California/Tuscan architectural style. This
area is on the east side of McBean Parkway. |
On the west side of McBean, a newer part of Town Centre could
potentially be called the "French Quarter". The
architectural style, while still Californian, is clearly inspired by
France.
 |
The pickup truck is
obviously American, but the buildings along Town Centre on the
west side of the McBean Parkway could be transported from
France. Click on photo to enlarge. |
In this "French Quarter" there is
shopping, as well as condos and apartment buildings, like the one shown
above. Many of the buildings were developed to be condos,
but are now a mix of individually owned condos and rental units owned by
the developer. Be sure to ask your real estate agent about the
impact of this if you decide to purchase a condo in this area.
 |
This small park with its
fountain and arbor at the back gives the impression of being in
the South of France. In fact, it is at the end of Town Centre
Drive in Valencia. |
Further to the west, behind the Town Centre
condos, such as the Madison, is a golf course and a townhome
community, Avignon -- which continues the French theme of this
area.
 |
Many of the spacious
Avignon townhomes face onto a golf course. This gated
community is just to the west of the Valencia Town Centre. |
