Over 20 miles of trails wind through the Santa Clarita Valley. This photo is of a paseo in the Old Orchard neighborhood of Valencia, part of this extensive cycling and hiking system that runs throughout the Valley.

It is Saturday morning in the Santa Clarita Valley and the soccer fields are full of children energetically playing.  Parents applaud their activities from the sidelines.  

Or it is Saturday morning and a Town Center condo dweller wheels her bike out onto the cycling trail that starts just outside her high-rise building, joining friends who are waiting for her.  

Or it is Friday and a couple is heading off to the movies followed by late-night dessert and coffee at the Patios at Valencia Mall.

Or it is Tuesday morning and a retired couple tee off from a golf course not far from their townhouse in Valencia.

Or it is a Wednesday night and a empty-nester attends a night class at the College of the Canyons.

Or it is Saturday morning and a young mother picks out farm fresh produce from the weekly farmers' market.

Or it is Sunday afternoon and a middle-aged couple park their car and get out, heading for the Wine Festival -- or is it the Cowboy Poetry Festival.

Or it is Sunday afternoon and a young family enters the lobby of a theatre to see a production of Snow White.  Their children are excited with anticipation.

This merry-go-round, much loved by children, parents and grandparents, is located in the mall at the Valencia Town Centre.  There is also a little railroad for children to ride upstairs in the outdoor Patio section of the mall.
