The name "Canyon Country" is accurate:  the roads and homes in this part of the Santa Clarita Valley are built along the many winding, steep canyons in the area.  And the views from many of the homes are utterly spectacular!

Homes perched high on the side of a canyon in the Shangrila neighborhood of Canyon Country have views of the entire Santa Clarita Valley.

In the older neighborhoods near the bottoms of the canyons are modest and more affordable ranch style homes built in the 1960s.   More recently, gated condo communities have been built along Soledad Canyon Road.   Almost all the Canyon Country businesses and shopping areas are located along the Soledad Canyon road.    

Huge new developments in Canyon Country are springing up to accommodate the growth in the Santa Clarita Valley.
