The vineyard at the Agua Dulce winery is located in the hills to the north of Santa Clarita.  New estate-size homes are adjacent.

If you long for a rural life that is within easy reach of urban resources, the outlying areas of the Santa Clarita Valley may be right for you.  There are still working ranches straight out of the old West, as well as contemporary estate-size homes on significant pieces of property in the canyons and hills.  

While many of the newer homes are quite large custom houses, there are other areas with older, more modest ranch-style homes for sale on good size lots with room for family, horses, and pets.

As ample evidence that the atmosphere and values of the old West survive in the Santa Clarita Valley, there is a Western Walk of Fame and the William S. Hart Regional Park in old town Newhall.
